10 Ways To Get Highly Scented Candles

Have you ever found the perfect aroma that you wish you could get over and over again, only to discover they are discontinuing that specific line? I know I have had that happen more than once. Have you ever found that perfect aroma, but it was a little bit too weak for your likings? Again, I have had this happen a few too many times to count. I have learned that I have occasions that highly scented candles are best, and there are other occasions that a lightly scented candle is best. For this article, I want to explore those candles I simply adore highly scented candles.

There are those of us that like the lightly scented; there are those of us that like the highly scented candles; and then there are those of us that prefer the unfragranced candles. Of course, the difference is not the style, the color, or the look: the only difference is the amount of fragrance added to the candle material be it oil or wax of some sorts. The preference is as personal as your hairstyle. I find that some highly scented candles cause my allergies to kick in. This really makes for a horrible time in the candle aisle of my favorite retailer store.

Want highly scented candles...

1. Maybe you should check at a couple specialty candle stores. You will find that specialty stores offer a much wider array of choices in aroma, strength, and basic candle design. You can find candle specialty stores in most towns in America since candles have become so popular.

2. Maybe you should consider making your own. There is a lot to be said for making your own candles. You get to choose every aspect of the candle making process including how much aroma you want to add to you candle. You can easily choose the strength that is perfect for you and your needs with a bit of trial and error.

3. You may want to contact your favorite candle manufacturer. Many candle manufacturers have their own retail section. You can contact the candle manufacturer and ask if they have highly scented candles. Of course, this is not always going to be a viable option, but you may just be surprised.

4. You may find that you can special order them. There are many ways to special order your favorite candles. Of course, I would suggest you know that you like the candle before you order a large amount of that candle. Usually, candle makers will not charge an additional fee for the strength of the candle. However, there is always an exception to every rule.

5. You may find that the internet is a ripe market for your candle needs. There are so many merchants great and small that want to offer you the best candle for your money. You may find that you have an issue with the season, so be sure to ask how they make sure you get a candle and not a pile of wax. Sometimes, you will pay an additional charge for shipping and handling during the warmer months.

6. You may find that it is easy to get the strength you want simply by adding additional fragrance to an existing candle. Of course, you will find that this may not be possible with some candles, but more and more candles are being created that match this capability.

7. Maybe you will find that you get the desired strength simply by using more than one candle. This is decorative, and offers a hint of elegance to any room in your home or office. Sometimes, you will find that you can actually mix aromas for that perfect olfactory sensation is as easy as mixing and matching your favorite fragranced candles regardless of strength.

8. Maybe you should get on some mailing lists. I know there are some people that hate junk mail even more than junk e-mail. I, for one, love junk mail in my mail box. I do not make a habit of ordering everything I get offered, but I do enjoy looking through catalogs. That is how I found the perfect highly scented candles for my home and office. You may be able to get those highly scented candles via mail order catalog.

9. You may consider dropping some hints for the holidays. This is great because you will be letting someone else do the footwork. You may not get the right aroma, but you will be getting an idea of which companies offer those highly scented candles we all love so much. You can of course get more precise, or just let it be a surprise for that special day.

10. You may just consider starting a gift registry. Seriously, candles are inexpensive. If you add that you want highly scented candles for your occasion, you will find that you get more than you could have dreamed for. This is a good option because once you find the aroma you like, you simply use one of the other methods to contact the seller. You are getting something you want, and you are giving gift givers an inexpensive option. That is what I call killing two birds with one stone.
